Hi! I'm Polet
I'm a Mexican designer, with a professional background in tourism, and you might be wondering how I ended up in the world of UX/UI?
My story begins when I stumbled upon design by accident around 2021 while working in a family business, my father asked me to help create advertising on social media.
In 2022, I moved to Berlin, Germany, a change that completely turned my life around. I discovered new aspects of myself, and the Polet I knew no longer fit into that mold I had built for years. It was then that I decided to also make a professional change after discovering my passion for design; intrigued by human behavior, the creative process behind a design, and my curiosity for technology, I decided to take a UX/UI course.
Tourism taught me to create meaningful experiences for people and to listen to the needs of customers, and the course provided the ability to work with multinational teams in dynamic environments, and quick problem-solving became my best ally.
I am currently back in Mexico, where my goal is to find a job where I can continue to develop and refine my skills as a designer.

Task: Design an E-Commerce
Highlights
Our primary goal involved collaborating with a company to design an e-commerce platform. The team and I worked with a farm located in Scotland, and our major challenge involved replicating the personal connection one experiences when visiting a physical store within the digital realm.
To solve the main problem, during the ideation phase, I designed a concept for an interactive avatar that would accompany users throughout their online purchasing journey.

Time: 20 March to 29 March 2023
Role: UX Design
Task: Wicked Problem
Highlights
This project marked my inaugural venture into the field of UX design. The primary challenge at hand involved devising a solution to effectively tackle the language barrier prevalent within the healthcare system. In response to this challenge, our team opted to develop an app with a primary focus on curating an extensive database of bilingual doctors. The aim was to provide a robust platform that facilitates access to healthcare professionals capable of effective communication in multiple languages.
